studio
Invisible Element is a design and creative direction studio focused on helping teams communicate with clarity and purpose. We shape ideas through design, illustration, animation, and consulting—bringing together strategy and storytelling to create work that actually connects.
Founded in 2004 by Jason Yang, the studio blends industry experience with a collaborative, process-driven approach. Over the years, Invisible Element has partnered with entertainment brands, product teams, nonprofits, tech companies, and agencies on projects that call for both craft and clear thinking.
Meet the Founder
Jason Yang is a designer, illustrator, and animator with 20+ years of experience across entertainment, consumer products, and digital media. He started Invisible Element to bring his mix of creative direction, concept development, and hands-on craft to help clients navigate projects with confidence and intention.
He’s worked with teams at NBCUniversal, NECA, Google, Mattel, and others, always aiming for solutions that are practical, thoughtful, and grounded in story.
Higher Education
Jason is also an Assistant Professor of Digital Media at The University of Tulsa, where he teaches design, motion, animation, and visual communication. As a Professional In Residence, he brings real-world workflows and project experience into the classroom, helping students build strong foundations, develop their creative voice, and prepare for careers in the industry.
Creative Outlet
Work More Or Less functions as a space for ongoing exploration and experimentation, keeping curiosity and creative play at the center of the practice. Insights from this work naturally feed into higher education, offering fresh perspectives, techniques, and examples that support student learning. It’s a complementary outlet that helps keep the studio’s approach adaptable, energized, and engaged with new ideas.
