Pop Culture Coffee

Question

How do you design a coffee bag collectible enough to display, but too good not to open?

Solution

Invisible Element created original packaging artwork that gave each release its own identity while staying true to the source material.

Client: Pop Culture Coffee

Director: Ethan Terra & John Santora

Services: Design, Digital Illustration

Discovery

Pop Culture Coffee builds its collections around officially licensed partnerships, and for a lineup built on Jim Henson's worlds, the bag art carries real weight. For fans, the artwork is often the reason they pick a bag up in the first place. Invisible Element was brought on to sort through the full range of available Henson IP assets and turn that material into artwork worthy of the fandom behind it.

Process

Concept Development

Direction for each release was worked out in collaboration with the Pop Culture Coffee team, aligning on tone and composition before any final art began. From there, Invisible Element took the artwork through to completion.

Each design pulled from official character and environment assets, recomposed into original compositions built to stand on their own as artwork, not just repurposed promotional imagery. The goal stayed consistent across every release: honor the world fans already know, while giving them something new to look at.

Solution

The finished artwork now anchors the Jim Henson Collection, giving each release a distinct identity while keeping the set cohesive as a whole. For a product built on fan connection, the packaging does exactly what it needs to do.
