Our Values
Sunkist: Our Values
Invisible Element collaborated with designer and illustrator Tony Bui to bring Sunkist’s brand values to life through a short-form animated video. The goal was to communicate company principles in a way that felt engaging, playful, and concise—blending bold illustration with expressive animation to create a unified, energetic piece.
Creative Direction & Collaboration
This project was built on strong creative alignment. Tony Bui set the tone with a distinct visual direction rooted in character, texture, and vibrant color. Invisible Element was brought in to handle the animation—translating static compositions into sequences that communicated warmth, clarity, and rhythm while preserving the integrity of Tony’s illustrations.
For this Sunkist project, I combined forces with designer and illustrator, Tony Bui. Needless to say, this was the perfect team-up based on our personal design aesthetics. Tony set the tone with his beautiful art direction, while I brought it to life through animation. The goal of this project was to highlight Sunkist’s values through an engaging motion design video.
Animation Approach
The tone of the piece needed to strike a balance between cheerful and focused, reflecting the spirit of Sunkist without becoming overly cartoonish or abstract. After reviewing the final illustrations and storyboard, each scene was timed and animated in After Effects with special attention to pacing, character, and transitions. The animation relied on subtle movement, elastic timing, and clean staging to maintain the energy of the artwork without overpowering it.
Final Execution
The completed motion video was designed for digital platforms and internal brand use, serving as a values-driven piece that introduced key company principles with energy and clarity. The finished product reflects a tight creative partnership and a shared understanding of tone, timing, and intent.
